Flexible Movers

On the scheduled day of the move the driver turned up alone after I had a two man team confirmed and the move had to be rescheduled for the next day.
On the actual day of the move I feel my belongings were handled without due care or respect.
My fridge was badly and repeatedly scratched and chipped and not wrapped in a blanket as stated. It's a Smeg..they ain't cheap and it was in great condition before the move.
My chest of drawers was scratched in two places and chipped. My computer was stacked and put upside down.
My amplifier was thrown on top of a pile of mirrors.
A box of 60 CDs was dropped and cases shattered.
Box of books was stacked on top of a box of glassware.
The floor in old flat was scratched.
The wall in new flat was damaged.
All my items were marked with the room they were intended for and if they were fragile or heavy. This was disregarded with boxes left randomly and precariously stacked.
I have emailed both the email address used for initial contact and the main mail address on the website with photos of the damage several times in the last two weeks and have had no response.
The guys were friendly and worked hard in the heat but this wasn't nearly enough to make up for the damage and lack of  communication.

Service cost: £150

After discussing with an individual called Alan on the phone (number provided on the website - 07886071206) we have agreed to a quote of £160. He subsequently sent me a message to confirm this quote (please find attached). He was very friendly and helpful the first day and another man(driver) came and picked up my belongings at the agreed time in a white van (license plate KV57LLZ ).

The second day, expecting for the delivery I get a text message on my phone, from the same individual telling me he did a mistake and I have to pay for it (also attached). Once I called him to better understand the situation he got very angry and started to verbally insult me and threatening me they will take back my things if I don't agree to pay. To my surprise the driver who picked my stuff was already in London at my building but with his personal car! - all my belongings stuffed in the back!

I had to get to an understanding with them, where I agreed to pay £20 more in order to get my belongings. He just took them out of the car and let them in front of the building not caring what I need to do to get them to my flat.

At that point I was just relieved I had them and I didn't have to discuss with Alan again. The amounts we are talking about are not high (although a clear breach of contract), but the way he spoke to me and approached the whole situation bothered me and I just don't want that to happen to anyone else.

Service cost: £180

All of the initial email quotes & booking process was fine. We exchanged several emails, the last one from me wasn't really necessary but because I'm paranoid I sent another just 48 hours before the move. I had a reassuring reply and was easy in my mind. On the day of the move, van&man were due at 09.30..but they never arrived, so I called, only to be told my booking had been cancelled!! Total disbelief, then horror, the guy on the phone was serious!  Apparently, it's their policy to confirm the day before by phone. Don't you think it would be a good idea to TELL THE CUSTOMER?? My phone was dead, I was packing all day..and I'D CONFIRMED SEVERAL TIMES!! I'm totally disgusted with this companies performance/conduct/service - use them at your peril!

The company send an unprofessional guy called Amoon. He came late to the appointment and we asked for man and van. Basically his van did not have any blanket or sheet and he order us to put things in the van which according the company it is his job. It was a rainy day and when he get to the delivery place, he said I am suffering from the backache. There was a 10 meters distance between the parking and flat. He left all our things on the ground and claimed it is all delivered. He get the money and gone. Me and my friend have to deliver all the stuff into our house. As a rest of that most of our furniture was damaged. Strongly advised to avoid this company.

I booked 2 men a van for 2pm today.  When they hadn't arrived by 2.20, I called to find out where they were and was told someone would call the driver and call me back.  When no-one had called me by 2.40, I called again and was told they'd be with me at 3.30.  I said that wasn't good enough as I had viewings booked at 3pm, and asked why no-one had contacted me to let me know even that they were running late. I was then shouted at, sworn at and had the phone slammed down on me.  I'm now sitting here in tears, really shaken up.  Please, no-one else use this dreadful, abusive and very unprofessional company.

Flexible movers were very helpful when organising and booking the move. I was reassured my items would be looked after despite my concerns about mattresses etc.

The two men that arrived to move us were polite and worked quickly with help from us, and some friends. Unfortunately alarm bells rang when one of the men used a wet (it was pouring) dirty duvet that had been sat on the ground in the rain to cover some of our furniture. The other man ripped it off and said 'no dirty'. But the guy who threw it shrugged and said 'doesn't matter'. I told him it did but he wasn't fussed. This late in the game we had no choice but to continue with the move.

All in all things were find, however, we did incur damage. One of the men we knew was leaving the company. I contacted Flexible movers and they gave me the run around with insurance for over 6 months. After that point they stopped responding to me all together. By this time I was heavily pregnant so gave with my pursuit for compensation. As far as I am concerned they don't have any insurance or procedures in place to protect anyones belongings. If your items can't be damaged or dirtied then you should be fine.

I called and booked a vehicle to move some items from Brighton to London. I requested a Luton Van but was assured, after describing the items I wanted moved, that a lwb van would be more than big enough.
When getting my items packed in the days prior to moving them, I called again twice for confirmation that a lwb would be big enough - each time giving a detailed description, and being assured that it would be.
As you may by now have guessed, the van arrived and wasn't big enough for everything. The company said they had no other vans available on that day, which was my moving deadline. This meant that I could only move what we could fit into the lwb Van.
When speaking to the company after this to come to an arrangement to collect the rest of my items, despite their error they only offered me to book a second van at a £20 reduction!
I offered to pay the price difference of the extra that a Luton Van would have cost me - despite the inconvenience their error has caused me but they told me that was all they could offer me.
I am left extremely dissatisfied with their service.
